AI Bootcamp: What's behind Artificial Intelligence?

Group sessions, market stalls and a fishbowl discussion: At ERGO's first AI Bootcamp, there was a lot of information and lively discussions about artificial intelligence (AI). The format is intended to promote active exchange and ideas for new AI applications throughout the company. For us at //next, this is a welcome occasion to present you with further reading tips on the topic.

Around 100 participants from the various Operations and IT units as well as Controlling, Group Finance or Munich RE took part in ERGO's first AI Bootcamp last week. The two-day face-to-face event was the highlight of the initiative. The participants had already been provided with a lot of information about AI in the form of links, videos and texts in the weeks beforehand. Thus, everyone was at the same level of knowledge and could optimally use the live event for knowledge exchange and discussions.

This was exactly the aim of the event: to share experiences from different perspectives and to promote active exchange. In addition to presentations and a keynote speech by external guests from the Technical University of Munich and intech, there were therefore group sessions, market stalls and a fishbowl discussion in which ERGO CDO Mark Klein and Christoph Klawunn, member of the DKV Board of Management, also took part.

Learning from and with each other

Quite deliberately, not only success factors were discussed, but also mistakes. Learning from and with each other was the focus of the event. The concept seems to have worked, as the feedback from the participants shows: "You could definitely feel the passion for the individual topics." "This was a super event. I hope for a regular exchange."
